Some users prefer not to use their OneDrive account for Windows but keep the precious gigabytes for storing precious memories. You can use the mobile app to back up photos and videos you take, but you have to be mindful about the storage space. You can download a mobile app version of OneDrive from the App Store and Google Play store.

To do so, type CMD in Start/taskbar search box, right-click on the Command Prompt result and then click Run as administrator option. Note that if you decide to use OneDrive again, you’ll need to download it first. Step 1: Open Command Prompt as administrator. This will only disable auto sync, the sync folder will still be part of your system and any data added there will be synced.

Now under settings tab, click on Unlink OneDrive button and your account will unlink.

Select “Uninstall” from the drop-down menu. Right click on the OneDrive icon in the system tray and from the menu, click on Settings.Click the three vertical dots next to it.Scroll through and find “Microsoft OneDrive.”.Select “Apps” followed by “Apps & Features.”.Go to Windows 11 “Settings” by pressing the Win key + I simultaneously.
